How to Clip On Twitch – Windows and Mac

A) Downloading Clips

You can download your clips by clicking the blue button with a downward arrow that appears on each clip. This will take you to another page where you'll first see your clips listed in order of most recent uploads. You can also click the green "Download" button at the top right corner of this list.

Your browser should prompt you to choose a location for file saving. The Clips Manager only allows the maximum time limit for each clip to be twenty-four hours, but downloads are permanent. Once you have saved it locally, you will have unlimited access to it even after it expires from your channel.

B) Editing Your Clip

To edit your Twitch clip, go back onto the Clips Manager and find the one you want to work with. Click on it, and then click the blue "Edit" button that appears in the top right corner of the clip.

You'll be able to trim your clip, add text or even crop it to focus on a particular part. When you're finished editing, click the "Share" button in the top right corner and choose one of the available platforms (Twitter, Facebook or Reddit). Your edited clip will now show up on that platform as if you had recorded it live.

C) Deleting Clips

If you no longer want a clip, you can delete it from your Clips Manager by clicking on it and then clicking the red "Delete" button that pops up in the top right corner of the clip.

D) Uploading Clips from Desktop on Windows and Mac

The easiest way to upload a new video from your desktop on Windows or Mac is by using the Twitch Client, which is available for download on your platform of choice: https://www.twitch.tv/downloads. This application will allow you to record and edit clips directly onto your computer and then upload them to your channel with just two simple clicks.

Once you've downloaded and installed the Twitch app, open it up and log into your account. From here, click "Broadcast" at the top left corner of the screen, followed by "Go Live."

You'll be taken to another menu where you can choose the game you want to play or the channel you want to watch.

To record a clip, click on the red "Record" button in the top left corner of the app. This will start recording whatever is happening on your screen, and when you're finished, click the same button again to stop.

Your recorded clip will now be added to your Clips Manager for further editing or uploading. You can also find it under "Videos" in your Twitch account.

E) Uploading Clips from Mobile on Android and iOS

2)Third-Party Apps: If you don't want to use the Twitch app, several third-party apps will allow you to do the same thing. One example is Kamcord, which is available for both Android and iOS. Just download the app and log in, then start recording by pressing the big circular button in the middle of the screen.
